OT - INFN
OT - INFN - Even given the sector volatility, I'd expect that a
loss of greater than 5% would be accompanied by some catalyst.
Scouring news sources turns up nothing. Earnings? Won't
report until early February. While the Motley Fool is mostly
worthless, their summary of businesses is often actually helpful.

Tax loss selling? It's at a 4.5 year low and this is the last
trading day of the year.

Jester,
Missed the obvious. Absolutely the most likely reason.

INFN has been brutalized, rightly so sadly. Customer
mergers have ravaged this company's prospects. Then there is
the chronic pauses in CapEx, maybe tax reform helps it
statewide. The stock is cheap for a reason, but when the turn
comes it could bolt several bucks, growth could jump back to 25% on
a yearly basis. It is worth keeping an eye on it. A positive
development like CenturyLink/Level 3 renewing orders could be a
catalyst and a place to bet on more gains.
From a technical point of view, the chart is outright FUGLY,
only thing is that it is in oversold territory. Best to wait
for a catalyst.

I ended up buying a little bit of INFN on Wednesday, for a trade
only. So much for discipline :-)
