From an article on Lightreading.com, it states the combined company starts trading on Jan 14th, so if this guy is correct, on the morning (pre-market) of Thursday Jan 14th we should have NOK shares in our accounts:

"NokAlu is go! Nokia has gained control of Alcatel-Lucent following a successful public exchange offer that will see the Finnish vendor holding nearly 80% of outstanding shares in its former rival. The first day of trading as a joint entity will be January 14."
