OT - NOK

OT - NOK - Nothing here but a general view of NOK's
dropping of it's VR camera and getting focused on making its
acquisition that will help it grow in healthcare products
field:

<a href="

No indication of how substantive the health
care products initiative may be. But the idea itself sounds smart -
with networking pretty dead for the forseeable future, could
initiatives into fields where capex spending is pretty robust make
a meaningful impact on revs? Or is the main business so dominant
that it'd take a very long time to develop divisions divorced from
the main business? I'd think the latter, but would hope not.
Intuitive Surgical (ISRG) just continues to march north, blowing
past analyst's PTs as if they didn't exist. I think with AI
continuing to develop, the number and proficiency of things like
'AI Assisted Surgery' will just become more in demand. Imagine it -
you've got a rural hospital and the chief surgeon can't tell a
spleen from a gall bladder. A remote AI program images the
patient's body in 3d VR, and guides him/her into making the best
choices as the procedure progresses. Maybe NOK sholdn't have
stopped that VR camera development after all. (Just kidding - good
decision just to make it a license-able product but not pour money
down that drain.)
