OT - NOK and
networkers
OT - Read a news article at brokerage that seemed to be mixing
details with what I thought was an unrelated story about an oil
company. In any case, it *sounded* like either NOK was acquiring
another company for cash, or, tht the deal had not been consumated,
which might explain why NOK is outperforming most anything within
or without the sector. I think this follows the pattern of if an
acquisition falls through, often the stock jumps since money, in
whatever form, will not be spent.
There is also a story, of some gravity I think, that Germany has
announced that they're way behind the curve on internet
infrastructure, and plans to build out networks that operate at
much higher speeds than is currently in their system. I love
stories that even have a small 'cha-ching' of the cash register. Of
course, NOK and the sector need to see some nice, big, capital
outlays that it'll get at least a piece of.
