OT INTC
OT - INTC - I see them continue, of course, to expand into other
markets and hardware than they've been in the past. That's a tough
task, but I think they've got good management that will make the
best choices in how to do that. Tom's Hardware reviewed an SSD
using INTC's 'optane 3D Xpoint memory, and crowned it 'Fasatest SSD
ever.'
I'm uncertain about whether this memory is the one developed
with Micron and was touted as being absolutely blaszing faster than
anything out there now, or whether that is to launch later. But,
along with Micron, the speed of memory they've 'invented' would be
a good 'goldmine' if, as seems likely, it becomes the standard
going forward, and would have no (I think) competitors. It's
certainly a hard road they're trying to travel on, against rivals
in different areas that are pretty far ahead of them, but INTC's
stock hasn't had any really noticeable downturns for a while. Also
read something that suggested that, like Ford, INTC has some
connection that may be similar with BMW. Whether it's things like
navigation and self-driven cars, or a more expanded scope of
products that will certainly transform the car industry, having a
presence and customers lined up is almost always good.
