OT 5G ATT

AT T announced their buying out of another company,
that they said will speed up implementation of 5G. The faster the
better, I'd think.Feels a bit like a horse race - Once
the gates are open, I'll have my fingers crossed for NOK of course,
and CIEN.It is still puzzling to me why CIEN keeps falling, and
INFN more so (yeah, please - go to $8.50 where I sold :-) Nok seem
'bouncy' but of course it's evident they had a nice upwards
trend.

AT & T and Verizon have been bulking up on Spectrum,
specifically spectrum for 5G. I would like to point out that
the acquisition by AT &T today is for what is called "Fixed 5G
Wireless" as opposed to Cellular 5G, in other words, this is for
last mile or neigborhood access, which does not need to be cellular
since the modem in your house would be a static 5G modem. In
the past, they would either lay fiber or coax to deliver Internet
to neighborhoods. The benefit of course is cost, 5G would be
far cheaper to install and service. A win win situation for
the Telcos.
This is good news for the 5G equipment providers since it is a
new Network Segment that was not previously served by the likes of
Nokia or Ericsson.
