OT - CIEN
OT - (Wish I could paste but I can't) - with CIEN testing its 52
week low at $16.63, I start wondering about buying more (ugh), as
it has bounced in this area several times. (The chart is one ugly
beast - hurts to look at it). However, read story from early April,
when Nomura and BMO went bullish after talking with management.
However, both said that CIEN needs and intends to get into the
short haul DCI business, since their equipment is all? long haul
opt net. I wonder whether the weakness is how such plans got
disrupted by InPhi, or whether it's something else. I also wonder
whether the market is expecting INFN to crash and burn on April
28th, so the whole sector is getting the fish eye. We shall
see.
And, on IBD, there's an April 19th article about expectations of
INFN's earnings (27th not 28th - my bad) - choppy is the word, with
a tough comparison of last year's y/o/y (I think) of 433%. Also
cited an analyst who called INFN 'way cheap' at $15, and put a PT
of $22.50 on it. Article noted that neither INFN nor CIEN have
basically found support here, so far.
