It's curious that NOK gets a boost when the newswires send what
is already known. Perhaps it's like the oil stocks - everyone knows
earnings are going to be terrible, but they still take a hit when
it's announced at the CC. Or perhaps the synergistic savings of
900 mil. by the end of 2018 did not have a figure attached to
it before.
I keep thinking about buying NOK in the $5.70's perhaps, and
also have an eye on INFN - below 15 looks cheap, but it seems to be
trading cautiously, as no one knows what Fallon will say about the
impact of InPhi's product making about 10% of their equipment sales
instantlyobsolete. I don't think he'll gloss it over, but if he
doesn't give a fair amount of information on it, the analysts will
certainly ask.
