Fed meeting, so stocks must
rise
It's a given that stocks must rise while the Fed is meeting. I
think there was a study recently showing something like 80% of all
stock gains in the last decade or so have been during Fed meetings.
Yesterday's stats of how it was accomplished are quite shocking
though. The S&P500 was up 1%, however the advance decline ratio
was only 25.8%. Going back to 1965, tracking 6,702 days where
the S&P closed up, yesterday was the 3rd worst advance decline
ratio in 50 years.
