CIEN has been all over the place since June when it was above 25. Tough to know what moves it on any given day.  I too can't find any news on it.  Still, over the long term CIEN should rise.  With regards to NOK/ALU, it is a bit of sell on the news (getting all the approvals), and the fact that ERIC crapped the bed, it is the "Guilt by Association" syndrome.  Again, NOK (once merger is completed) over the long term should do quite well.  Patience will be required.  However, I view a miss this quarter (if it happens and if it drives the share price lower) as a long term buying op.
