workers' pay increasing.  Not gang busters but the trend is what is important, this economy may be taking forever to normalize and it has a ways to go but it is marching forward in a slow but steady fashion.

I also believe that because the progress is slow and more tide to the actual economy rather than tied to an unsustainable boom (dot com or housing and debt booms of the past 15 years), that it is quite likely to be very sustainable.  There will be up and down cycles but the structural problems that saddled it are being slowly addressed.
