OT - CIEN
options
I'm puzzling over timing on CIEN options. They haven't
annoiunced an earnings call date, but it's thought to be roughly
between Dec. 4th and 10th or so. The options are pretty wimpy as
far as returns go, but there's an expected boost between the ones
expiring presumably pre-earnings and the ones that will almost
surely will be post earnings. I can't figure what's the best way to
'play' it - will the option premium get sweeter as we approach
earnings, or will the time value lost make it less attractive than
to option it out now at a post-earnings date? There's also the
complexity of perhaps optioning it out at a satisfactory price
pre-earnings, and if it doesn't finish ITM, re-optioning it post
earnings to get the 'premium boost'. I'm not sure there's enough
interest to get a reply on that, but thought I'd throw it out there
anyway.
