OT - Suddenly, over the last several days, CIEN has reversed
itself from sinking to the $41 range after a great earnings report
(after it popped to $45 or so), and now it's $44+ today. While the
consistency of good earnings suggset there's more upside in the 5g
swing with them, I'm at least going to mull selling a small portion
of my holding with a call.
ISRG will report tonight. I'm still a fan of them.
NVDA has been touting what sound like enhanced 2080's - as if
the cards being advertised have better performanc than the original
2080's. But the MSRP is $699, even less than the 2080's. Not sure
what's going on with that. But their original pricing on the 2080
ti ($1199 MSRP) and 2080 ($799), neither of which ever sold at
those prices, might be a factor in coming back to earth. I do
wonder how things like Google's 'Stadia' service, where you don't
need a console, may progress in the future, with no need to buy a
videocard nor a console to get 4k graphics.
Lastly, some major brokerage downgraded TTWO, from buy to hold,
with a PT of $135.
And I'm somewhat worried about my pharma stocks - while Trump's
approach to cutting prices is ham fisted, it's probably one of the
few things the Democrats can agree with.
