OT - This site/author wants you to *pay* to have him tell you why he wants you to invest in the  American telecom sector, and in particular, Verizon, because 5g will propel this over-saturated, no growth market - as if that's going to happen in the near future?

I have/had 'legacy' positions in ATT and Verizon - sold off the ATT last week. Dumped 2/3 of Verizon today. While on the positive side, their tight capex purse strings (plus 'secret' but legal throttling of customers) makes profits easier, the market is saturated, and as for the telecom part they're just vying with each other for marketshare. Their desperation is seen, I think, in their attempts to find/acquire new businesses that are somewhat if not mostly tangential to their core businesses - e.g., ATT's acquisition of direct TV, their attempt to take over Time Warner, VZ's Yahoo buyout initiative. It's under the rubric of 'completely integrated' media companies. I think that's a tough road to travel.
