OT - INTC/INFN

OT - INTC - INTC is up strongly today, most likely
because they're appealing and delaying the EU anti-trust violation
complaint brought by AMD. (I thought that went back to 2005...?) On
the other hand, read a fairly technical article (can't remember
where now - Tomshardware? ZD Net?), the point being that apparently
Google has designed chips of its own, in secret (skunkworks
project), that will present some stiff competition to INTC and AMD
in cloud storage and computing. As if ARM wasn't enough.

I don't know why every time there's a sector downdraft for
networkers (like yesterday) poor old INFN gets disproportionately
beaten down harder than it's peers. (Well, CIEN was no beauty prize
lately, either - underwater again.) It's like that one puny kid in
grade school that everyone beat up on and took his lunch money.
Well, his dinner money as well in this case. Once they have the new
equipment for deployment, it'll be like Gomer Pyle saying,
"Surprise! Surprise! Surprise!" Least I hope so. :-) (Mantra is
still 'patience'.)
