As Jamok noted, interesting to see the VG stocks all looking
extended and all at big round figures, $90 EA, $50 ATVI, $60 TTWO.
This makes it a good time for an update.
EA has been weak the last couple of days because it looks like
they have rushed out Mass Effect Andromeda for the FY, news of
which hasn't hit yet mainstream financial news. I sold $90 calls
this week because with FY2018 expectations at $3.80, that's 24x
forward earnings a year from now! It was just rising on "new high
begets new high" momentum imo, until the MEA news the last couple
of days started coming out. I'm looking for a slide down to recent
highs $87-$88 or $84.2 (from early February earnings).

ATVI, I successfully called the $36 bottom recently when I said
it was down 20% from recent highs and a return to near $40 looked
likely. Earnings were better than expected, add momentum, and now
it too looks extended. $45 could be a magnet, it's the top of the
post earnings gap and also the Sep/Oct highs.
TTWO, will continue to have support from RDR2. It's expected
this Fall. The last one was a huge seller and online was a big part
of it. I fully expect this one to have the same MT model as GTAV,
which will have analysts salivating and of course they can push out
any high sales figure they like and justify it relative to GTAV.
"It could sell 25%/33%/50% of GTAV's 75M sold blah blah blah". Many
of those GTAV sales will have been double dippers buying on last
gen then current gen, but never let the facts get in the way of a
story. I always find the stock unpredictable because it's so easily
manipulated by insiders and analysts.
As an aside, the market bullishness continues to astound. Rate
hike, yaaaaaay! Unhinged Camacho repeating a second conspiracy
theory he heard on TV, that Britain's GCHQ spied on him for Obama,
and now the US has formally apologized to Britain. And the
ineffective administration has failed again with the travel ban,
and the new budget and healthcare bills will be DOA, and there's
zero mention of tax cuts in the budget, but it's all good,
right?!?!
