NOK: Offer Period is now
Officially over
If I am understanding this correctly, it looks like it
could be more than 14 day to actually have them converted. On
January 4th or 5th the results will be published, then it will
reopen for those who held back. So a tax event in 2016?
If my understanding is incorrect, please chime in.

lt cap,
I wish I could say you've got it right. It would make sense that
you would be informed in a timely manner when you become the owner
of NOK, esp. given that it throws off a dividend. Just seems fair
and sane to me that you ought to be able to know what's in your
portfolio. And of course, the b8tch of it is that without having
certainty about when your shares of ALU were sold, you can't do
year-end tax planning. So, if this keeps up I'll probably sell off
more stock than I need to, playing it 'safe'.
I'm going to run it by my broker again how/what may have become
clearer, but they're like everyone else - minimum info = no
liability. The thought *did* occur to yesterday: Why not call NOK
investor relations and ask them? I may do that if I find the
time.
