EA said yesterday via their news blog, not PR, that Star Wars is the largest digital launch in EA's history. No mention of sales figures though. The optimist could read this as meaning this is why GameStop was seeing weak sales. The cynic could wonder why no sales figures. In this market, the former wins, EA up nearly 4% this morning.

I'm not sure that the player stats are as good as they should be, with an expectation of 13M shipped in the launch window. Peak player count has been close to 300K, which is significantly better than Battlefield Hardline did, otoh BFH also kind of bombed. I do think sales will pick up closer to the movie and that it'll be a huge gift option.
