<p>CIEN Nov. stk 23 options are somewhat interesting. They're offering about a potential (if you add in the .15 cents of 22-21.85) 4.3% premium (e.g., .81 covered call premium if bought at $21.85). The 'time period is 36 days, so it's a bit longer than the 30 that is often average. I assume there's a CC, probably in late Oct. or thereabouts in that period. You don't get a ton of downside protection, given the high beta it usually displays. Not a terrific deal, but not a terrible one either.</p>
