Jon,
I didn't get to see the market until after the close. What the
hell happened to propel CIEN to new highs? I'll try to do some
searching around, but my idiot brokeratge
has no news at all. Intel has indeed lost some
market share in computer CPUs to AMD, although INTC's results
suggest that either the damage isn't that terrible,
since the pie in itself in that sector is not growing. INTC has
had terrible delays in shrinkage of their dies to 10nm. I believe
they're close or at solving that, and as
die shrink go forward, the performance advantage of AMD's CPUs
may become more negligable. And, as noted, INTC has become quite
successful in shifting revenues
to the datacenter/cloud space.
I am amazed and clueless about what propelled CIEN today. And
'sellers regret' at the few lots I sold just the other day. Any
clue? TIA.
