OT - NVDA

OT - NVDA - JMHO - I'm holding my NVDA, as opposed to
buying more. They've slipped 30% in a month (with a recent
'comeback' above $200, after hitting a high around 290.) I think
this quarter may be problematic - not just because the ending of
crypto-currency mining that boosted prices for videocards into the
stratosphere (which is one main reason AMD got crushed 22% after
their CC), but I notice the new 2080 based cards are in short
supply, and the 2080 ti are unavailable. Such a 'semi-phantom'
launch will drag down this quarter, perhaps, although what they've
got in that series is so good it will beat anything AMD will ever
produce, and I think there's a lot of gamers out there hungry for
that kind of power.

So, I think they might take
a high after the CC. I would think of this as a buying opp, as
going forward, they're just so strong in so many areas (gamers,
CAD, auto-AI driving, cloud computing) I think the long term future
is very bright. The momentum, hi PE stocks, like NVDA, have
been getting killed. I think longer term, delivering the goods will
temper that downward pressure.
