This article tracking Fortnite DAU and Twitter mentions shows
the game peaked during the summer. This fits with what I've been
hearing anecdotally too.

That's good news for the big publishers with AC:Odyssey, RDR2,
CoD, BF, FIFA, etc. AC:Odyssey kicked off the holiday season with a
PR to announce their highest first week revenue for an AC this
console cycle. EA has their own specific overhangs though, which
explains their weakness and how far they are from their 52-week
high:
1. Lootboxes. They refused to comply with Belgium's request to
remove them. Activision and 2K both disabled real money purchases
in that region. EA has too much riding on FIFA FUT to show weakness
there.
2. Ronaldo rape claims. He's the cover star for FIFA.
3. Lack of earnings clarity since their pre-announcement a few
weeks ago.
4. Questions over Battlefield strength. CoD seems to be far more
anticipated.
