OT - NVDA - Needam raised its PT for the stock. But more
importantly, sang its praises, citing that it's AI competitive
capabilities would open new markets, such as the cloud, or
datacenters, where it has tremendous room to grow, and compared it
to the only 'Wintel' dominance. I'd like to believe that, as it's
gained 40% this year, and I have a middling substantial stake
already, and am thinking of getting out of the ETF Robo, which has
lost me money, and re-plowing it into NVDA and ISRG, both of which
have gone gangbusters, but I think can continue to grow. But in
order to commit to that belief, I may need to be, not on 'Chrome',
like Jester, but probably on Crack. It wasn't long ago that some
big analyst was comparing Intel to Microsoft (MSFT has more than
tripled in a relatively short period of time), and saying its
growth could be explosive, given the new areas it was entering.
Lately, it seem to have lost 15-20% of its value, while analysts
are now gaga over AMD.
Interesting to me that NVDA has bumped up prices on it's new
2080 series. A 2080 list price is, I think, about $799. The 2080 ti
MSRP is $999, and by the time you get different mfg's 'flavors',
that price jumps to $1150 or more. Still, I want a ti. Maybe Black
Friday.
