OT - INFN

OT - INFN - Ah, if only INFN could catch a sliver of
the optimism of Jon's article on NOK. In my last missive, I said
the plummeting price of INFN must mean something is up. Indeed
it

is, and now we know: They acquired another
company (can't recall the name), and issues a half ton of debt, my
guess would be to finance the purchase. Analysts are skeptical that
it's

a productive fit, and increasing debt
substantially is obviously never seen as a positive move. And
indeed, the plummeting continues, starting to get close to the PT's
of the most

skeptical of analysts, around
$7. It seems like it's no longer a 'show me' stock (sigh.)
It's now a 'show me, and give me your Rolex wrist watch as
security' stock. I do wonder what are the

prospects and chances that they will, indeed, 'show' that
they've got the goods to be competitive. Or whether that
acquisition will be like the last one, which didn't live up to the
accretive promises

from management,
IIRC.
