Re: OT - 5G
lt cap,
Thanks for the take on the nature of the forces affecting INFN
and NOK. It's a relief to know that their product line is not the
problem. I did a bit of deeper looking into the Moto Z3 capability
of being upgraded to 5g. Not as grand as it seems on first glance -
it appears that, at the moment, it's only vendor is Verizon, whom I
loathe. And it looks ike it's contained in an 'add-on' case that
both serves as a backup battery and allows the phone to operate on
5G. Didn't get the exact price, but I believe it'll be around
$200.
My old phone only did 3g, which is fine, as I mostly use it to
talk. But in using the new phone I got, a 4g Moto X 4, I see how
much faster and more responsive the 4g phone is. Now, Verizon said
that 5g will be 10 times faster than 4g, so I can see what a sea
change this cycle will be. And hopefully, users will go crazy with
bandwidth use.
