Re: OT - NOK
lt cap,
thanks for the roundup. I had been wondering whether companies
like NOK might benefit from the US trade war. But IIRC, it wasn't
long after Trump banished ZTE into foretold bankruptcy that he
changed his mind and lowered the barrier to survival, even possibly
thriving. That's what worries me most about him - he can change his
mind 10 times in 5 minutes, and doesn't know what the word 'policy'
means. That kind of uncertainty can create un-fixable economic and
trade distruptions. And I can't see it being popular with much of
anyone if he's able to throw this 'perfect' economy into ruin.
Altho, by the time the economic implications begin to hit, we'll be
past November, and he can blame it on the sane people who voted for
the Democrats. Smooth.
It's also interesting to me that earlier in his administration,
there was the comforting illusion that the 'adults' that surrounded
him would keep him from doing something monumentally dangerous or
stupid. I dont' hear anyone saying that now. Larry Kudlow? A
'TV personality' like Trump, not a competent economist. Although
Kudlow knows a good thing when he sees it: Two high-class hookers
and a mountain of cocaine in a Manhattan hotel bedroom. Too bad he
got arrested for it.
