CIEN - analysts
OT - CIEN - Doing this from memory - can't copy and past from
brokerage acct news: CIEN - Cowen - upped price from $33 to
$37. Another lowered price to $30. And another lowered price
from $30 to $27. Apparently, you can get any opinion you want on
the stock.
INFN's weakness continues. Can one analyst hating the stock have
this much effect? Is it true that their technology lags and they'll
be relatively irrelevant for the 5g cycle?
Intel is besting 52 week highs as we speak. Can't imagine why -
AMD's revived Ryzen line really is competitive - Tom's Hardware
gives the nod to AMD's chips in most of their catagories - they
concede that Intel has faster processors - but AMD's price makes
them the value proposition. That's always been the case, but the
gap is probably less than it has ever been.
Seems to me that Trump's inconsistency hurts the market even
more than his bad ideas, such as unraveling the international trade
network that has brought prosperity both here and abroad. One day
American chip companies can't sell to ZTE and they're going out of
business. The next everything has changed. I can't imagine why any
foreign leader would take him at his word.
