Service Providers are indeed giving much more storage, faster speeds and overall data usage to stay competitive.  Comcast customers now are getting 1GB of overall data usage before they start charging extra. This trend will continue for years to come.  This is similar to the PC industry where for the same price you kept on getting far more DRAM, Disk space and much more computing power. 

As I have mentioned before, Video continues to be the killer app when it comes to data usage and bandwidth requirements.  4K content will explode in the next 2 to three years.  Then there will be VR and an explosion of AI applications which will use the cloud.  All of it requiring much more bandwidth.
