Amazon's current valuation assumes the company can eventually produce Net Operating Margins of 10% which would give it a PE of ~20.  A 10% Net Operating Margins is on par with Macy's, or twice that of WalMart, and 45% higher than Target.  Currently Amazon's Net Operating Margins (per Yahoo) stands at 0.8%
